Lottery Winner Puts Money On Sis’ Education
SACRAMENTO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–April 22, 2006–California State Lottery players won a total of $200,000 on “The Big Sping” show that aired statewide Saturday, April 22, 2006.
In this week’s Fantasy 5 Dream Machine there was one contestant playing for the grand prize of $150,000. Desiree Besharat, a marketing specialist from Beverly Hills, went home with $65,000, but she has no intention of spending all her winnings on herself. When asked what she planned to do with her prize she said, “I want to use it for my sister’s education, and maybe a pair of shoes.” Aside from the shoes, we all agree that this should qualify her for “Sister of the Year.”
Two groups of 10 contestants played Aces High this week, for the chance to win $3 million on the big wheel. Caroline Thompson, a physical therapist from Los Angeles, won her way to the wheel and took home $50,000. That money will definitely come in handy for the lavish trip to Hawaii she has planned. Tong Tcha, an administrative assistant from Fresno, also has travel plans but she’s not sure of the location. The cool $40,000 she took home from the wheel should help take a trip to any place of her choice.
