Pechanga casino adds high roller games
Pechanga casino resort in Temecula Valley fights to keep and attract high rollers - the wealthiest of gamblers - by introducing private and luxurious gambling rooms.
In Las Vegas casinos, they call them “whales†and they are catered to like no other patrons. In Monte Carlo, that part of Monaco where real money is flung about, they gather in the “salon priv’esâ€, a private room that keeps them apart from the general population. They’re generally well dressed and quiet and they don’t drink a lot. By some accounts, as many as 80 percent of them are Asian and around 15 percent are women. They are high rollers. And they are right here in Temecula, too.
High rollers bet big money, so casinos want to keep them happy and keep them coming.
The Pechanga Resort and Casino is no exception, which is why they spared no expense when they decorated their 16,000 square-foot high rollers section. Amid much fanfare, the grand opening was held last Saturday while a handful of high rollers looked on and even more regular folks watched from the hallway while trumpets – really, trumpets – blared.
The $14 million high limit salon features PaiGow Poker, Blackjack, Mid-Baccarat and Big Baccarat. These are all high stakes games with a $100 minimum. story link
