Neteller Pays US Customers
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007Favorite online gambling payment processor, Neteller, has confirmed US players will have access to their accounts in order to withdraw funds frozen for over six months starting Monday, July 30.
The distribution plan follows the Neteller announcement of June 4 2007 advising that the plan had been agreed with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and that US customers may commence requests for the return of their funds from July 30.
FLUXX Signs Gaming Deal with AOL
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007Austrian lotteries and betting company, FLUXX, has signed an agreement with AOL to market Internet sports betting in the UK.
Under terms of the agreement, AOL UK customers will be able to place bets on international horse races and other sporting events using FLUXX subsidiary JAXX UK’s betting platform.

Second Life Bans Online Gambling
Friday, July 27th, 2007Online virtual community Second Life has banned gambling activities among its virtual residents and warns them from participating in the many online gambling sites that have developed in “The World.”
San Francisco-based Linden Labs’ new policy, revised as of July 25th, now states: “It is a violation of this policy to wager in games in the Second Life (R) environment operated on Linden Labs servers if such games: 1) (a) rely on chance or random number generation to determine a winner, OR (b) rely on the outcome of real-life organized sporting events, AND (2) provide a payout in (a) Linden Dollars, OR b) any real-world currency or thing of value.”

Online Gambling Bill Gaining Support in US Congress
Tuesday, July 24th, 2007The House of Representatives (HR) Bill 2046, also known as the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act (IGREA) 2007, is gaining friends in the US Congress, the bill is aiming to repeal the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
IGREA was introduced in April by Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank, and would license and regulate online gambling in the United States. Online poker, casino and sports betting companies licensed under Frank’s bill would be exempt from the UIGEA, which was passed in October.
New Online Slots Feature Motown Legends

Friday, July 20th, 2007A study conducted by Internet information provider and marketer, comScore Inc, about America’s top Internet activities reflect that online casino activities rose by 13 percent last month taking third spot overall behind Internet music and radio providers and gay/lesbian sites.
The results showed 12.4 million unique US visitors took advantage of some form of online gambling activity, which is attributed to interest in the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) tournament, online poker room PokerStars had the highest growth during the month in the category.
Macau Gaming Revenue $4.8 billion - up 46%
