FLUXX Signs Gaming Deal with AOL
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007Austrian lotteries and betting company, FLUXX, has signed an agreement with AOL to market Internet sports betting in the UK.
Under terms of the agreement, AOL UK customers will be able to place bets on international horse races and other sporting events using FLUXX subsidiary JAXX UK’s betting platform.

Friday, July 20th, 2007A study conducted by Internet information provider and marketer, comScore Inc, about America’s top Internet activities reflect that online casino activities rose by 13 percent last month taking third spot overall behind Internet music and radio providers and gay/lesbian sites.
The results showed 12.4 million unique US visitors took advantage of some form of online gambling activity, which is attributed to interest in the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) tournament, online poker room PokerStars had the highest growth during the month in the category.

Korea Cracks Down Online Casino Gambling
Friday, June 22nd, 2007The Korean Ministry of Information And Communication announced that it will toughen its monitoring measures for online casino gambling including poker.
The Ministry said that it would be working with related Government agencies including the Ministry of Culture And Tourism, the National Police Agency and the Information And Communication Ethics Committee in a crackdown on online gambling, which is illegal in Korea.
Google Extends Online Gambling Ad Ban
Thursday, June 14th, 2007Search engine Google has extended its advertising ban for gambling related websites to include gambling sites that promote gambling related content, such as gambling tutorials, `playing for fun’ gambling or casino games of skill.
A spokesperson for Google said that it had looked very carefully at the issue and the decision was ‘in tune with users’ wishes.
Neteller Announces Returning US Players’ Funds
Thursday, June 14th, 2007Payment processing firm Neteller announced details for the return of around $60 million, which was seized by the US Attorney’s Office earlier this year, to its US customers.
No date has been set for the implementation of its agreed Distribution Plan, but Neteller said that it would be communicating further details to its customers via email, their website and through press releases once all the details are finalized.
NETeller Exits Canadian and Turkish Market
